AFO (Ankle Foot Orthosis)

With three state-of-the-art manufacturing labs dedicated to crafting custom AFOs, we proudly achieve turnaround times of just one week, delivering exceptional solutions with both speed and precision.
KAFO (Knee Ankle Foot Orthosis)
In the past, metal and leather KAFOs dominated the landscape of orthotic solutions. Yet, with the advent of innovative copolymer and carbon fiber materials, we have entered a new era of design. These advanced materials allow us to craft KAFOs that are not only remarkably lighter but also provide enhanced functionality, setting a new standard in comfort and performance.
HKAFO (Hip Knee Ankle Foot Orthosis)
Crafting an exceptional HKAFO is a complex endeavor that demands precision and expertise. With one of the highest production volumes in the Southeast, we have honed our skills to become true specialists in this field. RGO (Reciprocating Gate Orthosis)
Although only a small percentage of patients in the U.S. use RGO devices, we have distinguished ourselves as committed specialists in creating these advanced orthoses for our patients. While many practitioners may have limited experience with RGOs, at A Step Ahead, we engage with these devices on a regular basis, exploring the intricacies of their biomechanics.
